Faith and Encouragement

Are you walking by faith? “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1. Live your life according to God’s Word. Don’t worry about how the circumstances look. Today’s blog entry is titled “Faith and Encouragement”.

As humans, it can be really easy to go off of our emotions, and live our lives according to what we can see, hear, feel, etc. However, it’s important for us to follow God’s Word and remind ourselves that God’s ways are higher than our ways (See Isaiah 55:9). Waiting for something that we want (to get accomplished) can definitely be a challenge…..Dealing with disappointment can definitely be a challenge. However, when we go through challenging experiences and endure the process that God is taking us through, we can become much stronger and better prepared to carry out future assignments that God has for us. When facing challenging things in life, we should not allow ourselves to get discouraged. And you may be thinking to yourself, “That’s easier said than done.” And I definitely can understand that. But here are some important things to remember as
born again Christians:

* We have received the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ

* God will never leave us

* We can constantly communicate with God

* God has given us the tools that we need in order to be victorious in our Christian Walk (See Ephesians 6:10-18)

* We have brothers and sisters in Christ who are here to help and encourage us

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13

Don’t ever let the enemy back you into a corner having you believe that nobody else can relate to what you’re going through. Also, don’t be fooled by lies/tricks of the enemy that try to lead you to counterfeit versions of the things that God really has for you. Patience is important. Timing is important. Obedience is important. So as we continue to grow in our walk with Jesus Christ, let us approach each day with a positive attitude. Let us continually give thanks to God for all the great things that He has done (and is doing) for us. Let as walk by faith and trust God even if we don’t understand how things are going to come together. Don’t give up. Stand strong. Keep making progress.

“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” – James 2:17

“For we walk by faith, not by sight:” – 2 Corinthians 5:7
