Live The Word, Share The Word

Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: -2 Corinthians 3:2….As born again Christians, we should be spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s important that we share the Word of God with people. It’s also important that we live it out in front of people, so that our actions line up with our words. Today’s blog entry deals with Living/Sharing the Word of God.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. –Mark 16:15

Every Christian should be sharing the Gospel with unbelievers. We shouldn’t let fear, or anything else stop us from doing so. We may come across people that reject the Bible, but that shouldn’t detour us from sharing the Gospel with others in the future. As Christians, we are set apart. We should never allow our desire to be liked by others to cause us to compromise what the Word truly says. Our love for Christ should cause us to want to obey Him (see John 14:15). Our love for people should allow us to be willing to speak to them about Jesus even if it means they may possibly crack a joke about us, or give us a “funny look”. It’s important that we look at the big picture, and remember that if the person never receives Jesus Christ as their savior, they will end up in Hell. This isn’t to say that we can make the decision for them, or force them to be saved. But we should at least do our best to make sure we have clearly shared the Gospel with them.

Our lifestyles should match up with how the Bible says Christians should live. This isn’t to say that we will never make mistakes. But we should be giving our best effort to obey the Word of God, and grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. If we make a mistake, we should repent. One of the big things that can turn people off from church, or wanting to hear about the Bible is a hypocrite. Our lifestyles should be evident of the fact that we have a relationship with Christ.

After we lead someone to Christ, it’s important that we help them get connected with a good church home. We should help other Christians grow in their walk with Christ, by teaching them what the Bible says.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: - Matthew 28:19
