Love The LORD with all your heart

“Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not the way of evil men.” – Proverbs 4:14.

In today’s society there are so many things vying for our attention. With this in mind, it’s important that we do not allow ourselves to develop inordinate affections (idolize) towards things in this world. Many times we see people who elevate certain athletes, entertainers, public figures, etc making them a “god” in their life. Some people literally worship other human beings through their actions. One thing to keep in mind, is that many non Christians have not been taught the Bible and their lack of understanding the Bible has adversely effected the way the live their life. If they knew the truth, they may be living their life dramatically different. The problem is, there are many professing Christians who have been taught right from wrong, who have a good understanding of the Word, yet they allow unbelievers to dictate the way they act. This should not be the case. We should be having a positive impact on the world (instead of allowing the world to have a negative impact on us). My brothers and sisters, it so important that we take the lead, we need to speak the Truth, and let people know that Jesus Christ is Lord. It’s important that we do not allow idolatry to creep into our life in any form. We should not follow the trends of the world inside the body of Christ. Never elevate Pastors, Christian Recording Artists, Leaders, etc, to a level that God did not intend for them to be in.

“And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.” – Luke 10:27.
