Remain Faithful

It’s important that we remain faithful to the assignments that God gives us, regardless of how we feel about those assignments. “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” – Matthew 25:21. Today’s blog entry is titled “Remain Faithful"....

Faithfulness is an essential part of the Christian walk. It’s important for us to remember that this life is not about us doing whatever we want to do. It is about receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and living for Him. We should honor God in every area of our lives, and that includes being obedient to Him. This isn’t to say that we will always do everything perfect, but rather to say that we should always strive to give our best effort. If God has put you in a position to lead a certain ministry, be the best leader you can be. If the number of people participating is small, don’t allow that to discourage you, and don’t do things that compromise your integrity in order to try to grow the group. Do things the right way. Remember God knows our true motives.

“But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” – 1 Samuel 16:7

God can teach us things in a number of different ways; and sometimes we may be going through a certain process, so that we learn things that will benefit us when we take on other responsibilities at a later time. It’s important that we don’t allow frustration or other distractions to cause up to stop doing what God has called us to do. We need to stay on the course that God has us on, even if we aren’t getting the results we would like to get.

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 3:14

Remember to stay focused on pleasing God each and every day. Don’t let the words of others cause you to disobey/doubt God. If you start to feel doubt coming in, renew your mind with the Word of God. When we totally put our trust in God, and follow Him regardless of how it looks, we can get a lot accomplished. So as we continue to grow in our Christian walk, let us remember to remain faithful.

“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” – Isaiah 1:19 KJV
