Remember Who You Serve

Challenges are a part of life, but thank God we don’t have to face those challenges alone. “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:3. Today’s blog entry is titled, “Remember Who You Serve”.

When difficult things take place in our lives, it can leave us with a number of questions such as: What am I doing wrong?, What do I do now?, How will I overcome this? As born again Christians it’s important to remember that our God is faithful! “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” – 1 Corinthians 1:9

The decisions we make are very important and can have a huge impact on the direction that our lives are heading in. So if we continue to find ourselves in bad situations as a result of making poor decisions, we should make the necessary changes, and avoid making those bad decisions in the future. We should seek God for wisdom when we’re making decisions. With that being said, there can also be times when we do things the right way and yet still find ourselves in challenging situations. If we’re dealing with that type of situation, it’s important that we don’t get discouraged. We should keep trusting in God, remembering that His strength is made perfect in weakness “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

“For we walk by faith, not by sight:” – 2 Corinthians 5:7

We have a responsibility to trust and obey God (regardless of how things look through our natural eyes). Sometimes God may take us to our destination using a different route than we would have taken ourselves. He may allow some things to happen to us that we don’t understand. Regardless of what happens, it’s important that we endure the process, and keep following Him. So as continue to grow in our walk with Jesus Christ, let us be continually thankful for all that He does for us. Let us remember that we serve an awesome God!

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” – Isaiah 55:9
