Speak The Truth

When sharing the Gospel with others, you may encounter some people that respond in a positive way, and you may also encounter some people that respond in a negative way. Today’s blog entry deals with speaking the truth regardless of the response you get (or think you will get). “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” - 1 Corinthians 16:13 (NKJV).

As Christians, we have a responsibility to share the Gospel with others. We should have a good understanding of the Bible, and help others grow in their knowledge of the Bible. As it says in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

We live in a society where many people chose to live a lifestyle that is contrary to what is taught in God’s Word. Some people try to suppress the truth, by ignoring with the Bible says and doing what they feel like doing. Many people are hurting, and looking for a way to escape the pain they feel. If we truly love people, we should be willing to tell them about Jesus Christ. We shouldn’t try to predetermine whether or not we think a person will get saved (Meaning we shouldn’t think things such as “I can see Person A getting saved one day, but I don’t see how Person B could ever get saved as bad as they are.”).

“For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” - Isaiah 41:13

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” - Deuteronomy 31:6

It’s important that we do not allow fear to stop us from obeying God’s Word. Seek God, and pray for wisdom and guidance as you’re witnessing. Don’t allow the fear of what people say, or what people will think to discourage you from speaking the truth to them. And remember, we can’t force another person to be saved. If we share the truth with them, and they reject it, that’s their decision. “And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.” –Luke 9:5

So has we live our lives, let us speak the truth to people in love. Let us share the entire Gospel message, without compromising in any area. Let us strive to be more like Christ everyday of our lives.

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” - Psalm 27:1
