Stay Focused On Jesus

As we continue to pray for Boston, our country, and our local communities in general; Let us remember to keep our faith in Jesus Christ regardless of what we go through. We live in a fallen world, and there are a lot of negative things going on, however God loves us, and we should never lose hope. Keep trusting God through every challenge that you face. ”Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” - Isaiah 26:3 Today’s blog entry is titled “Stay Focused On Jesus”.

Sometimes we may come to a point in life where we look at certain things that are happening, and question why? There are things that happen in our lives at times that are beyond our control. And while we may experience things in life that we can’t control, we can definitely control who we put our trust in. As Christians, it’s very important that we remember who we serve during challenging times (Jesus Christ, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords!). Our relationship with Jesus Christ is one area that we can always continue to grow in. And as we continue to fellowship with Jesus Christ, we will have a better idea of how to respond to the challenges we face. This isn’t to say that everything will always be easy, but rather to say we would much rather go through challenges having Jesus in our lives versus not having Jesus in our lives. We can take comfort in the fact that Jesus is leading us.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” – John 14:1

The thoughts we think can play a big role in how we approach life. That’s why it’s so important to renew our minds with the word of God. If the world is giving us advice that doesn’t line up with the Word of God, we shouldn’t follow that advice. If we find that we are wasting time taking in (Watching/Listening to) things that we shouldn’t be taking in, we should stop watching/listening to it. As it says in 2 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

So as we live each day of our lives, let us make a constant effort to continue to grow in our walk with Jesus Christ. Let us take an inventory of the time we spend and find a way to give Jesus more quality time. Let us be thankful for everything He has blessed us with. And if you go through a day where you’re battling with some things mentally, continue to praise God, and speak the Word. Don’t allow yourself to give up.

Let us also continue to pray for Boston, our country, and our local communities.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:7
